The long awaited Gen 8 HP Proliant Servers have been finally previewed at the company's Global Partner Conference in Las Vegas this week, HP previewed some of the forthcoming machines' capabilities. A Twitter campaign was fired up that was supposed to be an opportunity for customers to share their amazing McDonald's stories with the rest of the Twitterati, but it backfired when the stories that were posted had a less than positive feel about them.

Microsoft’s SQL Server 2012 database to launch on March 7

Microsoft has set a date for the launch of SQL Server 2012. For those of you who are Microsoft historians, you will know that does not necessary equate to the product being available for purchase. However in true Microsoft style, expect to be able to purchase SQL 2012 at least a month after their official launch date.
